Background & History

Textile designing and manufacturing has a long history in Cambridge and dates back to the end of the 19th century. The town of Galt, as it was then known, had "two large and prosperous knitting mills, the best of their kind… together with iron works, machine and boiler manufacturing, woodworking machinery, household and transportation goods…," according to one historical book of the time. In 1912, the first label and tape weaving business was established by partners George Turnbull and George Hancock.

Today continuous technological improvements, state-of-the-art equipment and highly skilled staff enables Labelnet Inc. to create products, which are among the finest in our field. Moreover, no matter where in the world your product is produced we can supply you, or your contractors, with the help of our global network of manufacturing partners.
